About PLATFORM35
Since January 2006 I’ve been more or less obsessed with making money – somewhat embarrassing to admit it, but there it is. Like most reasonable people, I’ve always been interested in money, but in January 2006 I accidentally discovered something: ordinary people are making money on the Internet.
The image of me sitting in a the barest of attire, alone in my apartment, all day, working on interesting projects on my computer and making boatloads of cash, was an appealing one – to say the least. I don’t want to go into too much detail here (on my personal site I do), so suffice to say I’ve always been attracted to the idea of not working for someone else, of owning my own time, of owning the results of my own labor. I’ve liked the idea of not being told what to do 9-5, five days a week, ever since I realized that is a main feature of many adult lives.
Fast forward 40-odd months. By now, I’ve made some money, mostly through ClickBank. But I haven’t been a raging success. Neither can any of the 12,841 (give or take a few) projects I have worked on be stamped as prime examples of what to do to make a million before you’re 35… or 40.
Nevertheless, still I push forth. Still I continue to work on projects, albeit with a somewhat smarter attitude, a little more patience, and more first hand information than I had started off with in 2006.
This site, and the main open-ended lists, is my way of giving others an idea of where to start. There are indeed many – and I repeat, many – ways to make money on the Internet, and I’m limiting myself to ethical, legal methods (as one would hope others will). In the end, the most important thing is to choose something you’re interested in, gather some information (you don’t need a university degree for most of the stuff on my lists) and then to take action. And continue to take action.
Are there any guarantees you’ll succeed? No, but at least you have a fighting chance if you take action.
I sincerely hope you find something useful in my lists. With some of the items, I will recommend books and other sites where you can find more detailed info. With other items, I will – in good time – offer my own findings and advice in short reports.
That’s it for now. Believe. Then do.
